Martin Frank Lutkiewicz

Martin Frank Lutkiewicz, age 82, of Southington, beloved husband of Barbara J (Cutler) Lutkiewicz, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024. He was born on October 10, 1941 to the late Frank and Mildred (Konsuit) Lutkiewicz.

Marty was a man of few words, who enjoyed a relaxing evening watching some television with his family. He was an avid Brooklyn Dodgers and NY Giants fan and could always be found cheering them on. He was a little league coach for several years and even went to acting school where he was in the same class as Emmy Award winner Martin Sheen. Marty was also a member of the doo-wop group "The Plural's" who had a hit "Miss Annie" in the late 1950's with Wanger Records. His love for life, family and all animals will be missed by all who knew him.

Besides his wife Barbara, Marty is survived by two sons; Matthew Lutkiewicz and Jerry Mulford (Eden), one sister Gloria Bizzaro, a host of extended family whom he loved and adored, and his two cherished friends; Tom Matrick and his wife Robin Starkel. He was preceded in death by his daughter Katie Lutkiewicz and two sisters Donna and Suzie.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date on the funeral homes website. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to either the CT Humane Society or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in his name.
