Elaine Frances (Moss) Webster passed away peacefully in the early hours of January 19, 2024 after a battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of 60 years to the late Charles “Chuck” Hamlin Webster. She was born in Fall River, MA and was the daughter of the late Frank and Germaine (DeMaris) Moss.
She was a long time Southington resident, graduate of Southington High School class of 1958. She was a true light in this world and will be tremendously missed. She was a giver to everyone, especially her children and grandchildren, friends and other family. She always knew what to say to brighten your day. She was steadfast in her faith and a very strong woman of her values and convictions. Elaine and Chuck loved to vacation in Hawaii and visited multiple times. She loved going out to a nice dinner, especially her time with Chuck on vacation in Mystic. She loved to cook and made award winning pies and was the master of the gravy at Thanksgiving. She will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her children Michael Webster and wife Laura , Martin Webster, and her four grandchildren, Christina Webster and fiancé John Harris, Jacob Webster and wife Taylor, Sean Webster, Courtney Hedges and great granddaughter Charlotte; her brothers Gerald Moss and wife Louise, Charlie Moss and wife Cathy, many nieces and nephews, and extended family out of state. Elaine was predeceased by her daughter May Hedges, son Matthew Webster and brother Norman Moss.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours will be prior to the Mass from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington.
