Donald Malcolm Urquhart Sr., 89 of Southington passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at his home. He was the loving husband of Joyce (Mitchem) Urquhart.
He was born May 8, 1935 in Providence, RI and was the son of the late Wilfred Stanley and Mae Woodfern (Davison) Urquhart.
Donald was a field engineer for Otis Evaluator for many years before he retired. He was an avid train collector and had an extensive Lionel Train Collection. Donald was a life member of Train Collectors of America.
In addition to his wife he leaves his daughter Bonnie (Urquhart) Gruenberg and husband Alexander T. of New Providence, PA and a son Donald Malcolm Urquhart Jr.; two grandchildren, Amara Scianna of Boulder, CO and Keith Scianna and his wife Katerina of UT and a great grandson Kevin Alexander Scianna. He was predeceased by his daughter Betsy Ann Urquhart and a brother Richard Stanley Urquhart.
Services for Donald will be held privately with his family. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington has been entrusted with the arrangements.
