Deborah E. Marek

She was born October 22, 1952 in New Britain and was the daughter of the late William Claffey Jr.

Debbie and Brian along with their son have proudly run their family business together, Marek Brothers Construction Co. She was an active member of the St. Thomas Passion Play for over 40 years and cherished her church community. She loved traveling to Florida, spending time at their lake cottage with all of their friends there and most especially quiet times fishing with her husband. She adored her grandsons who meant the world to her and will miss her dearly.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her son and daughter-in-law, Brian Jr. and Stacy and her three grandsons, Brian III, Matthew and Benjamin. She was predeceased by her brother William A. Claffey.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, February, 1, 2024 at 10:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington for a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bread for Life, 31 Vermont Ave., Southington, CT 06489.
