Carol B. Slauenwhite

Carol (Blaisdell) Slauenwhite, 80, of Southington, widow of the late Bruce Slauenwhite, to whom she was married to for 40 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the Southington Heath Care Center. Carol was born in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Richard and Betsey (Sampson) Blaisdell. Carol resided in Southington for most of her adult life. After living in Spring Lake Village, she moved to the Southington Care Center where she participated in the many resident activities. Carol graduated from Windsor High School in 1961, Bates College in 1965 and Columbia University in 1966 where she earned her degree in Physical Therapy. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Southington. Carol is survived by her sister Barbara Sterrett of Torrington and her niece Melissa Massett. She was pre-deceased by her brother in law Clifford Sterrett. Carol’s family and friends would like to thank Southington Health Care Center for the wonderful care provided to Carol over the years. A Celebration of Carol’s life will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the First Congregational Church of Southington, 37 Main St., Southington, CT 06489. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the First Congregational Church of Southington, 37 Main St., Southington, CT 06489
