On April 20, 2023, Carl J. Scricca, beloved husband, father and friend passed away at Southington Care Center surrounded by his family. He is predeceased by the love of his life, the late Patricia (McAllister) Scricca.
He was born September 30, 1933 in New Britain and was the son of the late Michael and Yolanda (Salvio) Scricca.
He graduated from New Britain High School, served in the Army and after discharge from the military he was employed with the U.S. Post Office for more than 30 years.
Those who knew Carl, knew that he loved his family and enjoyed his daily walks around the neighborhood. He was an avid Red Sox and Cleveland Browns fan. His collection of old movies and country music was impressive and perfectly cataloged.
He is survived by his four children, John Scricca and wife Cathy of Plainville, Janice Scricca of Southington, Carl Scricca and partner Betty of Bristol, Thomas Scricca and wife Sharon of Plainville and his beloved granddaughter Bridget Scricca of Southington and dearest family Uncle Joe, Anita and Bob and friends Dolly and Rich.
We are grateful for the staff at Southington Care who looked after our dad with care and compassion as they would a family member.
