Anthony P. Wolff III (Tony), 61, of Hamden, CT and formerly Cheshire, CT., passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023. He was born July 17, 1961 in Waterbury, CT., the son of the late Anthony P. Wolff II and Joanne (Freeman) Wolff. He grew up in Cheshire, Connecticut, and remained close to many of his childhood friends throughout his life. Tony lived large and loved being with people. Tony loved his family and spending time with them at many family gatherings. He was always the organizer and kick-starter of outdoor family bocce, badminton, and croquet games. Tony was a great athlete and loved football and golf. He was an avid sports fan, especially for his beloved Cleveland Browns; and he loved horse racing. Tony was the owner/operator of a successful independent painting company, where he completed many projects both for commercial buildings and residential homes all over the state of CT. He was valued by many for his meticulous work and exacting standards. He is remembered by his many customers for his commitment to provide high quality work on every job he undertook. Tony graduated from Cheshire High School in 1980 and thereafter he enlisted and served in the US Army where he was stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany. He loved traveling across Europe and took many trips before, during and after his time in the US Army with friends and family. Upon return, Tony completed his college education graduating with a BA degree from the University of Connecticut. We will miss Tony in so many ways in our lives. Surviving him is his daughter Kailey of Denver, CO and former wife, Holly Hassan of Branford, CT. He leaves his four siblings, Julie and her husband Nicholas Lawler of Singer Island, FL, Jeanne Ingram, of Jefferson, MA, Joseph Wolff and his wife, Robin, of Yorktown, VA, and John Wolff and his wife, Jeanne, of Duxbury, MA. Tony is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 15th 10:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire, CT. A private burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington, CT.
