He was a resident of Warminster, PA. for over 48 years. Gordon was born on August 11, 1945 in Philadelpha, PA , to parents, Gordon Alan Burge, Sr. and Ruth (Roork) Burge. He graduated from Central Bucks HS in 1963. He swam for AAU at the Philadelphia Aquatics Club. After graduation he served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1968 with a tour in Viet Nam from 1967-1968 where he was a Rotary Wing Tech Inspector. Gordon went on to establish a career as a Foreman and sheet metal mechanic, working for Kellett Corporation, in Horsham for over 15 years and ending his career at Kutzner Manufacturing in Telford.
In his younger years he enjoyed ice hockey, skiing, camping and working on cars. Later he loved to fish, play golf and travel. He loved family gatherings and playing video games with his grandson.
He also enjoyed working with members of the Delaware Valley Historical Aircraft Association (DVHAA) in the restoration of the F4. His knowledge of aircraft and sheet metal was beneficial to those doing the hard physical work.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Ruth, Aunts Betty, Ginny, & Doris.
Gordon is survived by wife Deborah (Kinmonth) Burge, son David Burge (Sarah), brother Richard Burge (Ki) grandsons Zachary Burge and Evan Burge, and many cousins, nieces and nephews .
A visitation is scheduled for Monday, January 24, 2022, at William Rowan Funeral Home, Second Street Pike, Southampton, PA, followed by a memorial service, and interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
