He was a long time resident of Southampton, PA. Franklin was born June 19, 1941 in Abington, PA to parents Franklin and Dorothy (Schremser) Gallagher.
He graduated from William Tennent High School in 1959. Frank went on to establish a long career working for PECO for over 30 years. In addition, Mr. Gallagher served in the Army/National Guard.
He enjoyed spending time with his family above all. Trips to the shore with his family and grandchildren, camping, road trips, sledding the big hill at the high school, walking the dog, and the many family picnics and holiday events were among his favorite pastimes and our most cherished memories. He was a funny, fun loving, and generous man. From his numerous and colorful sayings, not to be published here, quick wit, and easygoing nature, it was impossible to not have a good time when he was present. It was this sense of humor and easygoing nature that made him an instant friend of those who spent any time with him. Frank would always lend a helping hand to his family, friends and strangers alike. He probably enjoyed helping others with their projects more than his own. For those reading this who knew him, understand and probably experienced this generosity first hand.
Franklin is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara; his sons Frank (Catherine), Michael (Heather) and Kevin (Tania); and his grandchildren Heather, Matthew, Jocelynn, Kevin, Aiden, Logan, Riley and Lanna.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or National Multiple Sclerosis Society may be made in his memory.
