William Joseph Reilly

Bill was born and raised in Waltham, MA, the son of the late Michael and Mary (Kerins) Reilly.

Bill lived a life of service to country and community. He was a US Coast Guard Korean War Veteran and retired Deputy Chief of the Watertown Fire Department where he served for 35 years. Upon his retirement in 1993, Bill and Flo moved to South Dennis.

Bill loved to spend the day on the golf course, but nothing made him happier than spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Florence of 63 years, Bill is survived by his daughters Cherry Gagne and Donna Clifford; his sons Michael, Stephen and Matthew Reilly; his grandchildren Kimberly, Jennifer, Michael, Erin, Brandon, Sarah, Liam and McGuyver and 3 great-grandchildren. Bill is predeceased by his daughter Kathleen Ferraro, his brother Raymond and sister Grace.

Visiting hours will take place on Saturday, May 7th from 1-3 p.m. at Doane, Beal & Ames, 729 Route 134, South Dennis, MA 02660. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X Church, 5 Barbara St., South Yarmouth, MA 02664. A private family burial will immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, Bill’s family requests donations be made to the Dennis Fire Department, 883 Main St. West Dennis, MA 02670.
