February 22, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born in Boston, MA on August 30, 1956, she was the daughter of the
late Richard and Amy (Kelley) Norton.
In 1974, Lisa graduated from St. Gregory’s High School in her hometown
of Dorchester. After graduating high school she went on to work for
NSTAR.
Lisa was an advocate for children with disabilities and was a past
president of the Sandwich Parent Advisory Council for Special
Education. She also volunteered and was a member of the Alzheimer’s
Association.
She enjoyed camping at Sandy Neck in Sandwich, going on cruises and
going to the beach with her family. Lisa was a dedicated hockey,
basketball, and field hockey mom. She never missed a game.
Those who knew Lisa would agree that she had a wonderful sense of
humor and that she would always put the needs of others before her
own. She was a devoted and loving mother and wife. More than
anything, she cherished every moment that she shared with her family.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Thomas Grandy of West Dennis; her
three children, Kevin, Amibeth and Courtney; her brother, Joseph
Norton of Foxboro; her sister, Catherine O’Brien and her husband,
William of Norton, MA; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her
faithful companion, Maggie, who never left her side.
Friends may call from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the
