He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lucille M. Pascale (Boule), son Joseph Francis, daughter in law Katie, three grandchildren - Joseph Jeffrey, Sophie Lauren & Hailey Madison, and sister Isabel D. Pascale. In addition to his immediate family, he leaves behind several sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, cousins and many significant lifelong & beloved friends who were very close to his heart.
Joe was born in Manhattan, NY to the late Joseph Alfred and Alice Margaret (Masciola) Pascale on April 17, 1946. He graduated from high school at the age of 16, graduated from college at the age of 20 and had three degrees by the time he was 24.
He was a football coach for over 35 years. 20 of those years were in the NFL in a variety of defensive coaching positions, with his last full time position as the defensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers. Prior to the NFL, Joe coached 2 years for the New Jersey Generals in the USFL, 4 years in the Canadian Football league and 13 years at the college level. In his earlier years prior to coaching, Joe was an educator and mostly focused in special education.
Joe loved to fish, golf and travel with his wife and son. He loved to cook and loved watching cooking shows, financial shows and housing shows. He was a devoutly religious man, humble and down to earth. Joe always took pride in others and their accomplishments, silently mentoring and encouraging several family and friends in developing their moral compass. Joe was caring and had a deep love for people especially his family and his sister. Joe was a humorous man with a brilliant financial mind. He will always be loved and will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held at Doane, Beal and Ames, 729 Route 134, South Dennis, MA on May 6th from 4-7pm and 9-10am on May 7th.
Funeral mass will be held at St Pius X, 5 Barbara Street, South Yarmouth, MA on May 7th at 11am.
Burial will be held at St. Columba’s Cemetery, Middletown RI on May 10th. A short service will precede the burial at St. Columba’s Cemetery Chapel at 11am.
