Johnny Dean Wells

Johnny Dean Wells, 85, of Cape Cod, peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Services will be held at Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home in Dennis, Massachusetts on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.

Born on October 4, 1935 in Mexia, Texas, Johnny lived a long and rich life surrounded by those who loved him most.

Johnny was a beloved and devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather who is survived by his Granddaughter, Tonya Elizabeth Stump, and Great Grand Children, Taylor Elizabeth Stump, Sydney Alexandria Stump, Avery Allyce Stump, and Jon Rhyees Stump. Johnny was the youngest of seven children and the son of John and Bessie Wells. He was known to be a true southern gentleman who never lost his southern drawl, even after being away from Texas for more than thirty years. He loved old Country Music, especially George Jones, Pick-Up Trucks, Nascar, his Yorkie dogs, and even to his final days, enjoyed an ice cold Miller Lite. Johnny’s life revolved around his family. His devotion and unconditional love was so strong that he uprooted his life in Texas to be near his daughter and grandchildren in Ohio and then to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. A respected Veteran of the United States of Army, Johnny will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of having him in their lives and experience his kind southern charm.
