Frances Fedele Carr of South Yarmouth passed away peacefully at home on June 15th at the age of 93. She was born November 10, 1927 and was the daughter of Joseph and Orianna Fedele of Somerville. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas E. Carr, Jr. formerly of South Yarmouth. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Carr Williams, son-in-law, John Williams and her grandchildren, Nicolas, Zachary and Brooke all of South Dennis. She also leaves behind her brother, John Fedele and his wife Diane, sister Jeanne Dainis and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Frances grew up in Somerville and worked for the railroad before starting a career as an Executive Assistant at Polaroid. After leaving Polaroid she established her own estate sale business on the Cape, Unicorn Sales. She loved music, dancing, gardening, champaign, red wine and chocolate. Above all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She spent many years wintering in Boca Raton, FL where she had many wonderful friends. She had a special group of ladies (the 3 B’s) who were members of the Moose and Elk lodges performing charity events while having a great deal of fun.
Frances’ family thanks all of the amazing caregivers and the VNA of Cape Cod Hospice Service who provided amazing care and comfort to her in her final days, allowing her to rest peacefully at home as she wanted to be. She was a loving, giving wonderful lady who will be missed by all of her family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 18th from 9 to 11 a.m. at Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis, MA 02660. A graveside service will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Dennis, at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Frances’ name to the VNA of Cape Cod Hospice Services.
