Angela is survived by two sons Mark and his wife Shannon, Michael, and his wife Laura, two daughters, Noreen Hrul and her husband Dennis, and Julianne Bonwit and her husband Andrew. Angela was also the loving mother of Daniel who passed away in 2012.
Angela is also survived by her sisters Mary Gallant, Kathleen Charron and Pauline Heanue and her husband Geoffrey. Angela was the loving sister to Michael Stanton of County Galway, Ireland who passed away in 2017. Angela is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Angela cherished being Gran to her 7 grandchildren: Andrew, Tim, Colleen, Ellie, Sam, Bryson and Evangeline. She was known to start massive pillow fights with the grandkids after a morning of cutting the grass and raking piles of leaves with the love of her life. She loved spending time with her grandkids at the beach and could hold her own in digging deep holes and playing in the sand.
Angela was an amazing Irish woman who always put others first. She loved entertaining family and friends and was known to give newcomers to family dinners the biggest baked potato she could find to welcome them into the Murphy clan. Her strength and compassion was as legendary as her homemade scones.
Angela’s Catholic faith never wavered, and her devotion was inspirational. Angela attended Mass daily and said a Rosary in the morning and again at the end of her day. She lived her life following the famous words of Mother Teresa If we pray, we will believe; If we believe, we will love; If we love, we will serve.”
Angela enjoyed her daily walks, reading, baking and frequent trips to the Dollar Store to replenish her greeting card collection so she would always have a card ready to make someone smile. She also loved a good cup of tea with a cinnamon raisin bagel. Irish candy, rum raisin ice cream, hot chocolate and scones were some of her favorite treats.
Angela loved the many friends she and James made from Worcester to the Cape, as well as those she kept in touch with back in Ireland. She also loved her wonderful neighbors, who she treated as part of her extended family.
