MA. with his family at his side. He was the husband of the late Eleanor L. (Bunce) Halley.
He was born in Rockville Centre, NY., a son of the late Charles A. and Blanche (Davies) Halley
and served in the United States Navy during World War II, in the Pacific theatre. After being
discharged he went to work for New York Telephone Co., starting as a linesman and worked his way
up to diagnostics and securing phone lines for the United States Military and the Secret Service,
both in New York and Washington, DC. Charles belonged to Manetto Lodge No 1025 F. & A. M.,
Hicksville, NY and achieved the degree of Master Mason.
In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and carpentry, building his retirement home in Delhi, NY. He
and Eleanor later moved to Meyerstown, PA, before he relocated finally to S. Dartmouth, MA to
live with his daughter.
He is survived by three daughters, Nancy H. Larson (Robert) of Manhasset, NY., Carol H. Bancroft
(Stephen) of S. Dartmouth, MA. and Susan H. Keller (Jeffrey) of Bethel, MO; a brother Richard I.
Halley (the late MaryJane) of Brooksville, FL; grandchildren Olivia Price, Jack Price, Kerrin Larson
Lefron-Brown and the late Kyle Larson; and several nieces and nephews and their families.
