Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late George and Lidwina (Furtado) Bonas.
David was a veteran of the United States Air Force; following his retirement, he was employed as a salesman for a local car dealership. He was a member of the Fall River Rod & Gun Club and enjoyed going to the gun range and playing golf.
He is survived by his sisters, Linda McCoy-McCabe and her husband Bruce McCabe of East Taunton, Debra Souza of Assonet and Susan Pacheco of Fall River; a niece, Stephanie Gagnon Maxwell; four nephews, Craig Ferreira, Michael McCoy, Lenny Moniz, Jr. and Jared Moniz. He was the brother-in-law of the late Daniel Souza and uncle of the late Timothy Souza.
His memorial service will be held Monday, March 11, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 688 County Street Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be held Monday from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, prior to the service.
