Joseph R. Mento, 85, of Fairmount, passed away Friday September 16th at home. A life resident of Syracuse, he was a truck driver for over 35 years, retiring from Yellow Freightlines of Syracuse in 1989. Joe was a past member of the Teamsters and Moyers Corners Fire Department and enjoyed crossword puzzles and working in his yard.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, the former Filomena “Fran” DeVivo, a daughter; Deborah Christofferson, of Stafford, VA, 4 grandchildren; Marcia Carlson, Mark, Matthew and Michael Christofferson, 1 great granddaughter; Evelyn Rose Christofferson and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 10 am Thursday September 22nd in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay, has care of arrangements.
