Estelle R. (Dupuis) DeLallo, 86, of Camillus, passed away Friday at Crouse Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brockton, MA to the late Pierre and Julia (Therriault) Dupuis. Her early years were spent in the Eastwood area of Syracuse. However, she lived most of her life as a resident of Camillus. Estelle was devoted to her family and will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She was a devoted member of Holy Family Church of Fairmount.
Her great love for her family was so apparent by her strong feeling for her husband Paul; her four children; Nick (Lynda) DeLallo, Pam (Wes) Yager, Paul (Tom Goodhart) DeLallo and Christine DeLallo; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
It was her life work to make everyone happy about themselves and to make life a little better for each one she knew. Family always came first, she came second. Anyone lucky enough to be in her presence always felt comfortable, able and happy. All her love and affection for all will be easy to remember and nothing will ever make it hard to forget.
She loved to cook, and every Sunday was family day with spaghetti and meatballs. Her greatest hobbies were to walk, garden, swim and cook. She would walk an average of three miles a week with her best friends Christine and Daniel, and her daughter Paula and her friend Alice. She was a long time member of Bellevue Country Club and for a short period, she actually played some golf.
In 1962, Estelle and her husband Paul started Express Shipping Room Supply, a company still owned and operated by her family members. For 25 years she served as President and Financial Officer. Much of the success of the company must be attributed to her efforts and dedication. Even up to her passing she would continuously stay involved with the everyday operations of the company.
Because of her strong desire to help people, her last request was to donate her remains to Upstate School of Medicine.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
