Edward F. Zawadzki, 78, of Camillus, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 after a long illness. Born in Syracuse, he was a graduate of Eastwood High School and retired in 2000 from Chrysler’s New Process Gear after 34 years of service. A veteran, he served in the United States Armed Forces from 1961 to 1967. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church.
He was an avid and outstanding bowler and golfer. A true devoted family man with a wonderful wit and charm, he took great pride in his grandchildren as well as in helping family & friends especially his beloved neighbors. He was a lifelong blood donor in which he took great pride in donating every opportunity he could. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Casimir and Mary (Gugula) Zawadzki; and his brother, Walter.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, the former Rita Civiletta; son, Edward (Annette) Zawadzki, of Onondaga Hill; daughter, Susan (Brad) Corbin, of Camillus; sisters, Dolores Bialobreski, of Baldwinsville; Joan Haberek, of Baldwinsville and Patricia Epolito, of Dublin, Ohio; grandchildren, EJ, Jake, Dominic, Isabella and Gianna and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 9:15 am Wednesday, November 2nd at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay. His life will be celebrated at a Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Wednesday at Holy Family Church, Fairmount. The Rite of committal and entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday, November 1st at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave.
