Daniel J. Hayes Jr.

Daniel J. Hayes, Jr., 79, of Syracuse, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at James Square. He was born in Little Falls, NY to the late Daniel J. and Elizabeth (Shepard) Hayes. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Daniel owned and operated D.J. Hayes Home Improvement for over 50 years. He was an administrator and member of the Moose Lodge, Solvay-Geddes Veterans and the Tipperary Hill American Legion Post 1361. Daniel was predeceased by his daughter, Heather Way in 1999.

Surviving are a son; Daniel T (Lourdes), of East Syracuse; 3 grandchildren; Daniel T. Hayes, Jr., Michael James Hayes and Morgan Taylor Way; his longtime companion; Norie Cook; 2 brothers; David and Richard Hayes; 3 sisters; Elizabeth Finer, MaryAnne Hayes and Dorothy Bubenick, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9:15 am Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 at St. Patrick’s Church, Syracuse, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
