Alice Newman

Alice Newman, 89, of Geddes, passed away Sunday at Van Duyn Home and Hospital. She was born in Solvay to Benjamin and Antoinette (Bolia) Tarolli in 1921. She was a past member of the Westvale Golf Club, the Solvay Tyrol Club Auxiliary and a communicant of Holy Family Church in Fairmount. She was predeceased by her husband Fred in 1963, her son Charles in 1975, 2 brothers Harmon and Arthur Tarolli, and a sister, Eleanor Todd.

She is survived by her son; William (Laurie) Newman, of Geddes, 2 grandchildren; Jason Newman, of Geddes and Briana Newman, of Geddes, a sister; Gilda Bome, of Fairmount and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:15 am Wednesday Feb. 2nd in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 10 am in Holy Family Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday Feb. 1st at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave. Solvay, NY 13209.
