Sandra graduated from Moses Lake High school in 1963 with honors. She was described as “vivacious” in her goals. At the time, she wanted to go to school to become a teacher, teach for a couple years, and then become a guidance counselor for students in high school or college. All while being a car hop at A&W, and Dog & Suds, and being a part of the professional water-skiing group, the Aqua Jesters.
Sandra met the love of her life, Larry Countryman, in 1962 at a church gathering. Larry proposed to her at the Grand Coulee Dam in 1964 when Sandra came back on Spring Break from Brigham Young University. Sandra married Larry Countryman on May 28, 1965 in Logan, Utah at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints’ temple. In 1966, Sandra and Larry welcomed their first born, Cary. Sandra graduated from the University of Washington, with a toddler in tow, on June 8, 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts. Sandra had the same love of art as her husband and followed him into the field by getting into the framing industry. After Cary (1966), they had several more children: Cheri (1970), Perry (1971), Cathy (1974), Jeri (1977) and Teri Jo (1985).
Sandra lived a life full of love for her family, that only continued growing. Sandra is survived by her husband Larry Countryman and their children, Cary Countryman, Cheri Green, Perry Countryman, Cathy McRae, Jeri Moore, Teri Jo Countryman, and their respective spouses. She is survived by her brothers, Steven Pierce and Larry Pierce. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many more cousins, nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
A service in celebration of her life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 8522 131stAve SE, Snohomish, WA. The family invites all that knew and loved Sandra to join them as they remember the wonderful life she lived
