Gee Mal...I don't even know where to start. If I have any fond Eldec memories left they include you. I took to you right away because you reminded me of my brother Kevin whom I lost exactly 5 months to the day before you. You were a ray of sunshine in an otherwise dismal place. If I  was in the middle if a bad day, I could wander over to conformal coating, or in  later years, flow solder or SMT and you'd always have a big smile and funny joke or story to share. You helped make work...and life fun. I'll never forget a party at your place that was so packed that you ran out of parking space. Rowena showed up and you volunteered to park her car for her. The thing is that Row was about 4'6" on a tall day so she had pedal extenders for her gas and brake and a booster to sit on. I'll never forget you trying to park her car. Your head sticking out of the sunroof and then the brake pedal extender fell off and you ran into the back of another car! Luckily there was a cooler behind the other car that took the impact...and didn't even damage the beer inside! You were funny, witty, loving, generous, nonjudgemental and so much more. I will always remember you...especially when I hear the theme to The Good, the bad and the ugly...which you whistled all the time! Rob and I love you dearly and miss you terribly!

 Even though he lived nearby, we rarely, to my dismay, got together with Malcomb . I was looking forward to this summer and finally getting to enjoy his great  cast iron firepit  in the patio he built , and play music with him. I play guitar and his brothers Max, a drummer, and Paget a guitarist, in all the 10+ years I've known them  have never really jammed, except one small party at Paget's that was really fun for me.  He took pride in his custom  beautiful motorcycle but I never got to ride it ,but I did admire it's beauty. When Max and Mal talked, it seemed it was a contest of who could be the funniest, which explains why on visiting Mal on his deathbed, Max was making jokes. He was generous, offering us one of the many trees he planted on his property , to us for Christmas, but they were too pretty to cut.  In essence, I feel  sad that all these years, I missed out on getting to know him better, but I noticed how his death has brought the rest of the family closer, which to me , seems like an "about time" blessing. Thanks Malcomb. 

I love that guy, he used to help put the eldec parties together, among other activities.  He was a great joy to talk with, enough to make a detour and stop by anytime.  it's people like Malcolm that made eldec a great place to work.  Thank you for all the good times Malcolm!

Worked with Malcolm many yrs ago he was a hoot my husband and Malcolm be came friends he wanted to set up a fish tank Duane knew alot about it we would go to his house for a quick trip but it always turned into hours it was fun  watching them 😁 always left with my face hurting from laughing   bye  you will be missed 

I worked with Malcolm for two years, keeping his equipment running. He was always cheerful; laughing, smiling. He would often help us in the maintenance team. Not many people volunteer to shovel snow.

I'm from Yakima and he would make fun of our "Palm Springs of Washington" sign.

He was a great guy and I'll miss him.

I worked with Malcom at Crane, Eldec also. Him and I had a love for white chocolat so when one of us had some we would share with each other. Love that guy

I first met Mal on November 13, 1995, my first day at Crane ELDEC Corp.  He was so warm and funny, the type of guy that people gravitated to.  Mal had a sense of humor unlike few others.  I laughed so hard so many times over the years I worked with Mal that my head literally hurt.  I'd feed Mal an idea for a prank, and he'd do it.  He made work so much fun during times that were much less than fun.  Many days, the highlight of my day was stopping by Mal's work station to crack  few jokes, or get the latest scoop on what people were up to at ELDEC, as Mal was the one stop shop to get the "goods" on so many people.  In the summer of 2012, I had Mal help me paint my house.  He was willing, even though he just had surgery on his shoulder a week earlier.  Mal was a machine.  He spoke often of his 3 kids, and they were his pride and joy, without any doubt.  Mal had a soft spot in his heart for his kids, and I'm sure they each knew it.  Mal you will be missed more than you know.  Mal, remember all those things we discussed about life and the after life?  They are all TRUE.  Rest in peace my good friend, until we meet again.

I worked for years in the same general area as Malcolm, and for a short period, I served as his supervisor. I'm not sure what I can add to what's already been said, other than to reiterate that Mal was a character, always upbeat, and respected by all. He was the type of guy that you love to have on your team. He was hardworking and took his responsibilities seriously. But, he never lost sight of the fact that work isn't life and life isn't work. He brought a sense of levity to the job that was truly appreciated.

Godspeed, old friend. I'm sure you have more than one angel rolling on the floor.

Dear Malcolm, so sad to hear of your passing so damn young. I've been talking to lots of people about all the cool things you did, you used to sing to me "OH Donna". When I first came to Eldec you used to say it's never gonna work out with me there and my brother Mike. You were always trying to make people laugh and you were good at it. I remember you took this handicapped guy Victor to McDonald's drove in the drive thru backwards so he could order at the windows as he couldn't drive. You made his day😊.Debbie so sorry for your loss God bless you and your family. You were loved Mal.

I too worked with Malcolm at Eldec for a number of years and I can say whenever I had to do some work in his area I always looked forward to that. He was a hell of a nice guy and always had something funny to say. My Mother told me the other night of his passing and I was saddened greatly to hear of this. I wasn't real close to Mal, but I always thought fondly of him. He will be sorely missed by his family and all those he came into contact with. He made the world around him a brighter place with his sense of humor and his smile.

I worked with Mal at Eldec since forever.  He had the biggest heart in the world and would offer whatever was needed to help anyone, anytime.  His 3 kids were his pride and joy.  While Mal and I didn’t talk much after I left Eldec, we  emailed each other every year on our September birthdays.  After 9-11, Mal wasn’t too excited about having a birthday on that date, but I wanted him to know that 9-11 also belonged to him.  I loved Mal.  He was a dear friend and a long time passenger on my train.  I will miss him every September.

I met Malcolm working at Crane and also at Astronics.  He was always happy and in a good mood... always making others laugh.  He will be greatly missed!!!

This is one of the most sad days I have had since losing my Mother and Father... It's something that will affect my life without a doubt. I have so many great memories with Malcolm after working with him almost 20 years. He always had people laughing at something no matter how ridiculous it was. He had a story for just about every situation. I spent a lot of time with him at work and at so many new lunch spots, I never met a guy who was so passionate about food. I had many great times with Mal and I will definitely miss him and his humor. My heart goes out to his family... Debbie, Nicole, Lacey and Jesse. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers. 

My sincere condolence to the beloved family.  I am familiar with grief's sting especially when a loved one dies. It can be unbearable and relentless.  May you continue to receive the strength that God gives, heal your pain, and mend your broken and crushed heart.

I worked with Malcolm at Eldec and Astronics and he always had something funny to say to make you laugh. He went to the Omak stampede every year and I grew up going so we chatted about that. He was always so friendly and talked to everyone easily and had so many friends. We will miss him so very much! We will pray for comfort for all of his family and friends  and for them to know he was loved by all of us.
