Karolyn, I needed my sis today.  I tried to be strong for Mom while she is confused in the hospital, I felt like I carried her weight for both of us. I want you to know my dear sister...that I will not let you or Jenny down.  I will take care of our Mom as best I can. I love you and miss you. Terribly.

My dad, Lyle, my brother, John and I would like to thank each person who has posted well wishes.  We have read each one and it has helped to have so much support.  We miss mom, like crazy!!!  We will miss her smile, her laughter and her loving support. Her grandchildren, Breanna, Kaitlynn, Alissa, Jonathan and Andrew miss her SO much also. Dear Karolyn, My friend  I will now forever have a saddness in my heart and regret letting life be to busy to come see you, I have missed you for a very long time I hope you know that now. I wanted to speak at your memorial but the tears wouldn't stop I listened as every one talked about the celebration of your life,the Servant that you were and I knew if you were next to me you wouldnt tell me not to cry  rather you would have sat for as long as it took and lent me your shoulder. I listened to what a wonderful wife,Mom, Aunt and Grama you were. I wanted to stand up and say I am not family she was my friend and for all the things she was to her family that was so very important to her, she was as a friend, the kind of friend everyone should be blessed to have. not everyone does I did. I wanted to say She even Shared her Husband with me  after Darrell died and we were only 3 she let me keep my good best friend Lyle a lot of women couldn't have done that when 4 became 3. I wanted to say thank you for everything you did for me, thank you for just being you and Mostly thank you for being my Friend. Me, Shay and Nano had a good laugh you would have liked it, we thought of you and Darrell smoking cancer free ciggys, drinking your Smith and Kearns. and sitting side by side playing always pay slots. cant wait to see you there someday My friend. you will be missed. I Love You.

I will feel this way for the rest of my life about the loss of our wonderful Aunt Karolyn. She gave her love and laughter everytime we were together. She filled me with what I would have gotten with my Mother in some ways. She was always interested in knowing about me and my little family. She embraced me & my sister when we were 2-3 and took care of her sisters children. At the celebration today someone mentioned her as Heroic. Well, YA! That was aunt Karolyn, ready and willing to help, with a smile. Aunt Karaolyn I do want to say I am gonna really really gonna miss you calling me kiddo! I am gonna miss your bear hugs and your birenken stocks sandals too! 
Tell my mom for me that her grandkiddos are beautiful!

I cried when my sister Linda broke the news to me, last week...
My heart goes out to all of you, and my prayer is that God will comfort you.  My family knows the pain of loss you are going through...all I can say is that Karolyn was a blessing in this lifetime, and she will be so deeply missed.

We are so very sorry to hear of Karolyn's passing.  We have so many fun and special memories of you both on the cruise in '89, of WAA conventions, SCAOA meetings  and get togethers.

I remember so many fun times we shared back in the old Motor Truck's day. She always had a smile a wonderful sense of humor and just someone who was so nice to be with.
