Oct. 23, 1948 – Oct 14, 2021
Bruce was born October 23, 1948 in Yakima, Washington to Helen Sturgeon & Harry White. He graduated from Mountlake Terrace High School and studied at South Seattle Community College. Bruce worked in metal fabrication shops, he managed & also taught metal fabrication. He was a Diesel Mechanic, he built & designed his own race car and was the Vice President of Advance Management for many years before retiring.
Bruce had a love for speed. He started riding motorcycles, racing motor cross, & then drag racing for 20+ years at Pacific Raceway in Seattle, Washington. This last summer he qualified for the Pacific Raceway Team Race, and he just finished drag racing in the Race of Champions in Woodburn, Oregon. He has the trophies & awards to prove it!
Bruce loved his family & his drag race friends – they were his life. Bruce was always there for his family & taught us to enjoy every moment that life has to offer. Bruce loved to laugh, he loved to make other people laugh with his humor & was larger than life. His laugh was infectious, which reminds me of this quote. “There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.” He will be missed dearly by his family & friends.
Bruce is survived by his former wife, Monique White. They were married 20+ years and while divorced, remained close friends & shared family events. He is also survived by his children, Melissa Hemen, Melanie Badger, Michelle Taylor, by marriage Rosa Briggs, Starr Erickson, & Chay Erikson. Spouses are Jeff Hemen, Terry Badger, Ron Taylor, and Robert Briggs. His many grandchildren include: Ashlee Matilla, Austin Hemen, Samantha Hughes, Maddie & Malachi Taylor, Micah & Abby Briggs, Xaiden Froyd, & Aurora Erickson. His Great Grandchildren; Khloe Mattila, Josiah Mattila, and Landon McGriff.

All who knew him are welcome.
On his final day, he was surrounded by his family who love him with all that we have, as he stepped into eternity. We will never forget you Dad & you will remain in our hearts forever.
Love you always Dad, Melissa.
