affectionately known as “T’Jay”, was born on January 13, 2005. He departed his
earthly body on March 26, 2022, but his spirit lives with us forever.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, T’Jay bought light into this world. He bought light into
every room he entered and put smiles on the faces of every person he encountered.
He touched, impacted, and changed the hearts of those that surrounded him in
every place he went including Georgia, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina.
At the early age of five, T’Jay discovered his love for football though, basketball had
always been his main passion. Along with sports, he loved dancing to the top
trending songs of years past and present. He loved outdoor activities such as
fishing, riding four-wheelers, and bike rides. As time went on, T’Jay’s love for shoes
began to grow and so did his collection. T’Jay was caring, funny, stubborn, and
affectionately called bougie by his younger brother.
As many know T’Jay’s favorite color was purple, which represents royalty, power,
wisdom, ambition, and spirituality, his life exemplified all of these qualities.
Though we will mourn his loss daily, we know we will be reunited in time.
In addition to his parents, T’Jay leaves his sister Sydney and his brother Sean to
cherish his memory. He also is survived by his Paternal Grandparents; Alfredo and
Paulette Hicks, Lorraine Cannady, Maternal Grandparents Henry, and Charlotte
Davis, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. The family was very important in his
life, and he showed affection to each in his own special way.
We also would like to acknowledge T’Jay’s closest friends who stood by him and
were incredibly important and supportive of him. Thank you for being by his side
and showing your continuous love for him.
A visitation for Thomas will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Graystone Church, 1551 Ozora Rd, Loganville, GA 30052, followed by a memorial service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
