Sharon was adored by all who knew her and never met a person that did not become a friend. Her laughter could always be heard from great distances in a crowd. She and her husband of 52 years raised 3 children together. She spent much of her adult life story telling to pre-school and elementary school children as Mother Goose. She would travel to public libraries or from school to school dressed in her full Mother Goose costume (complete with a stuffed goose) reading books, telling stories and playing games with the children. She was also a Sunday school teacher for children in the same age range at the Church of Christ in Duluth and then for Church of Christ at New Hope for many years and always thoroughly enjoyed teaching and motivating children wherever she found them.
Sharon is survived by her husband Wayne, age 81, her sister Jane, age 77, and three adult children Shaun, Darren and Robyn. She also leaves behind four lovely granddaughters Ashlin, Makayla, Raylen and Hanneke. She also has left behind her best friend Janice Hackett of 57 years.
A private graveside service will be held for Sharon on Tuesday May, 5, 2020 at 10am in Eternal Hills Memory Gardens in Snellville. Flowers can be sent to the Eternal Hills Funeral home at 3594 Stone Mountain Hwy in Snellville, GA.
