Minnie V. Gant was born February 15, 1951, the youngest of nine children to Tommie and Ceola Stuckey (nee Spires) in Bentonia, Mississippi. She received her education at Brinkley High School in Jackson MS. She went on to receive an Associates of Arts in Accounting.
Minnie worked in the banking field for 47 years, reaching the position of VP of Real Estate Portfolios and was listed in Who’s Who Publishers for her accomplishments in the community and banking field.
Minnie accepted Christ at an early age at New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Riverside, CA before she moved to Georgia. She became a member of Victory for the World Church in Stone Mountain, GA.
She departed this world on July 19, 2020 at home with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie Sr. and Ceola Stuckey, four brothers Bill, Tommie Jr., Eddie, and Sammie.
Minnie leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Willie (Sonny) Gant, her children by birth and blessings: Kyla Ollie of Las Vegas, NV, Keshia Ollie-Howard of Snellville, GA, Damiana Whitmire of San Jacinto, CA, Monjea Gant of Birmingham, AL, Kelly Gant of Richmond, CA, Debbie Jones of Moreno Valley, CA, Dawn
Murray of Riverside, CA and Arnold Drayden Jr. of Seattle, WA, 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters Earlene Owens of Jackson, MS, Alzey Orr of Kileen, TX, Gladys Roach of Raymond, MS, her sister-in laws: Ora Stuckey (Tommie Jr), Edna Stuckey (Sammie), her remaining brother Richard Stuckey (Virgie) of Jackson, MS and a whole host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
