Curtis was born on December 24, 1944, to J.F. Lee and Lucille Lee and he spent most of his young life in Phenix City, Alabama. Curtis graduated from Central High School in 1963, where he met his wife of 59 years, Carol Starling Lee. The two moved to Atlanta, Georgia and went on to have one son, Christopher Lee. Curtis started his own home improvement business that was very successful and he was known for being honest, hardworking, and getting the job done right.
In 2018, Curtis retired and spent his time with his family, visiting Daytona Beach, reading, frequenting estate sales and cruising around.
Curtis was predeceased by his parents, and his siblings Margaret Hodge, Charles Lee, Maryannis Hodge, Cullen Lee, and Gene Lee. He is survived by his wife, Carol Starling Lee, his son, Christopher Lee, his granddaughter, Cassidy Lee, his great-granddaughter, and his sister, Margie Ivey. He was the best husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Hwy, Snellville, GA 30039, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Service will start at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, an organization Curtis felt strongly about.
