Born January 18, 1955 in Fort Fairfield, Maine to Gerald Goucher and Audrey Lawely. He resided in Canaan, Maine with the love of his life, whom he met when she was 14 and he was 17. Together they raised two wonderful, fun loving sons.
Mike was happiest when he was outdoors with his family fishing, hunting, and working on his land. Many times, this seasoned outdoorsman, experienced uncanny equipment failures, or resorted to carrying American Girl Dolls, blankets, purple mittens, and snacks while hunting with his eight year old granddaughter. He was known for his random acts of kindness to his fellow man, a dedicated family man, and employee of Cianbro for 30 plus years.
He is survived by his wife Doreen Goucher, two sons Seth and wife Tonya, and Zane and wife Andrea, his six grandchildren (Abby, Ava, Aleela, Anna, Alexis, and Ethan), mother Audrey Lawley, brother David Goucher, and sister Donna Bubar, brothers-in-law Dennis and wife Sharon Dunbar and Dean and wife Linda Dunbar. He was also devoted to his many nephews, nieces, and friends whom he cared for dearly.
It broke our heart to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
A celebration of life will be held at his home in Canaan, on August 8th from 1 to 4 pm.
Arrangements are under the assistance of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
