1936-2015
Skowhegan – Anna E. Dugas, 79, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 27, 2015. She was born in Skowhegan on April 28, 1936 the daughter of Mamie (Johnson) and Edgar Belliveau.
Anna graduated from Skowhegan High School, Class of 1954. She married Herbert G. Dugas and together they raised their three sons in Skowhegan. She worked for 15 years as a telephone operator for NET&T and then for 23 years as a manager at Key Bank of Maine before her retirement in 1993.
Anna loved to cook and bake. Years ago she enjoyed attending cooking classes at Candlelight restaurant. Anna also enjoyed playing cards, going out to eat and having coffee with friends. She also loved her dog Lucky.
Anna was predeceased by her parents and husband.
She is survived by her three sons, Daniel and his wife Denise of Jackman, Jeffery and wife Lori of Skowhegan and Michael of Cornville; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Anna's life at 11am, Monday, October 5 at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave, Skowhegan with the Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. Interment will follow at Southside Cemetery, Skowhegan.
