On June 2, 2023, Robert (Bob) Silverman of Silver Spring, MD. Born in Philadelphia, PA on November 9, 1946 to Ida & Arnold Silverman. Bob grew up in Bethesda, MD graduating from Walter Johnson High School. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jennifer, sons: Aaron (Betsy), Adam (Lauren) & Alan (Yoshi), grandchildren: Harper, Hudson, Jayden, Brooklyn, Bella, Bailey & Alexandra, siblings: Harold (Rose) and Harriet (Harold), as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friend Joann Riley.
Bob was a proud veteran who served our country in the U.S. Navy. He graduated the University of Maryland and became a CPA shortly thereafter. He was partner with Boyarsky, Silbert & Silverman until his death. When he wasn’t cheering on his beloved Terps, you could find him at a Nationals game. Bob was also an avid tennis player who could be found weekends on the courts at Indian Springs C.C. before it closed. Known for his love of cruising he was called by many “Cruiseship Bob.” He was known for his caring personality, witty sense of humor, and love of family.
Service and interment will be held on Sunday, June 11, 1:00 pm at Judean Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Olney. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held immediately following the interment at the Leisure World Clubhouse #1 from 2:30-6:00pm.
At the families request, donations may be made in Bob’s name to: JSSA Hospice, Mishkan Torah Synagogue or Family Nursing Care.
