Vernon Smith

He was born May 30, 1938 in Qulin, MO. to the late James and Sylvia Bradley Smith.

He was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston, MO. He retired from Texas Eastern Pipeline Co. in Oran, MO. after thirty-five years of service.

On September 6, 1957 in Qulin, MO. he married Frances Allieen Donica Smith who survives of the home in Sikeston, MO.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Cole and Rose Smith of Sikeston, MO. and Lane Smith of Cape Girardeau, MO.; one brother, Doug Smith of Poplar Bluff, MO.; one sister, Shirley Mallard of Poplar Bluff, MO.; five grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Jacob Smith, Josh Middleton, Michael Abbott and Allen Abbott; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston, MO. from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Keith Olbricht and Johnny Hester, officiating.

Burial will follow at the Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
