

She was born on December 20, 1941 in Carrollton, IL. to the late Thomas F. and Ethel Hawkins Burns.
On December 19, 1959 in Aurora, IL. she married Walter Lewis who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Smith Avenue Church of God in Sikeston, MO.
She is survived by five sons, Walter (Anita) Lewis of Canalou. MO., John (Becky) Lewis of Canalou, MO., Jeremy (Angie) Lewis of Canalou, MO., Matthew (Chelsey) Lewis of Canalou, MO. And Phillip Lewis of Canalou, MO.; two brothers, Earl (Ruth) Burns and Roger (Pat) Burns; one sister, Darlene (Herbert) Abegg; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brother, Howard Burns, Jim Burns and Bobby Jack Burns; three sisters, Sadie Jenkins, Beatrice Dowdy and Viola Britt and one granddaughter, Brittany Lewis.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. with Matthew Brooks, Pastor of Smith Avenue Church of God in Sikeston, MO. and Richard Graham, officiating. Mike Mahurin will be the musician for the funeral service.
Interment will be held in the Matthews Cemetery in Matthews, MO.
Pallbearers will be Josh Morrissette, Kayla Morissette, Walter Lewis, Breonna Lewis, Christian Lewis and Aaron Lewis.
