He was born on January 8, 1945 in Sikeston, MO. to the late Vinus “Son” and Elsie Pulliam Walton.
On December 6, 1963 in Crowder, MO. he married Charlotte Utley Walton who survives of the home in Sikeston, MO.
He was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston, MO. Marvin retired from Cargill Inc. in 2011 after thirty years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors; he was an avid hunter and fisherman, turkey hunting was his very favorite.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Tim (Mary) Walton of Fredericksburg, VA. and Chad (Dawnya) Walton of Ewing, MO.; one daughter, Kellie (David) Barnes of Cape Girardeau, MO.; one sister, Linda (Jim) Gilliland of Collinsville, IL.; eight grandchildren, Amber Domenech, Cory Walton, Brandon Barnes, Sarah McCanless, Miranda Barnes, Abbey Walton, Catherine Walton, Lydia Walton, and two great-grandchildren, Ayden Domenech and Astrid Domenech.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda McDonald.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. with Keith Olbricht, officiating.
A private sunrise interment will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2002 at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley, MO.
Pallbearers will be David Barnes, Tim Walton, Troy Gilliland, Gabe McCanless, Chad Walton and Luke Daniels.
Memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
