Golda Lawanda Holman, 81, of Sikeston, died February 27, 2015, at her home. Born February 2, 1934, in Sikeston, to the late James and Anna Council Noyes, she had been employed as a dietary aide for Sikeston Health Care. She was married to Glen Holman on July 2, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., and he survives of Morehouse.
Additional survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Peggy Holman of Miner; six daughters and three sons-in-law, Lawana Decker of Sikeston, Carole and Thomas Thurman of Sikeston, Teresa and Steve Kimbro of Sikeston, Shelia Burnett of Sikeston, Barbara Eskew of Charleston, and Alicia and Keith Courtney of Olive Branch, Miss.; and two sisters, Elaine Tarrants of Hillsboro and Frances Taylor of Double Springs, Ala. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, James Holman, one sister and two half-sisters.
Visitation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12 noon on Monday, March 2, 2015, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Randy Eskew, pastor of the New Beginnings Church in East Prairie, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Thurman, Joshua Burnett, Matthew Holman, Justin Eskew, Andrew Davis, Brent Wiley and Austin Vanover.
