He was born in Sikeston, Missouri on September 8, 1937, to the late Lowell E. and Lou Etta (McFall) Webb.
He married Barbara Jean Schumacher at St. Francis Xavier Church in Sikeston on August 30, 1957.
Don graduated from Sikeston High School in 1955. He was Co-Captain of the 1954 Sikeston Bulldogs Football Team and made the All-State Track Team throwing discus. He attended Purdue University and received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1960. He worked for IBM for 30 years from 1962 to 1992 and then retired.
In retirement, Don and Barbara moved back to Sikeston. He served on the Sikeston Library Board, the Sikeston Cultural Development Center (The Depot) and the Advisory Board for SEMO in Sikeston.
Don and Barb were blessed with three children and their families. His family includes Cathy (Bill) Durako, Donald Jr. (Laura Seybold) Webb and Carla (Stuart) Marsh. Grandchildren include Sara, Anne, Lori, Donald III, Emma, Cindy and Katie. Don and Barb also have 13 great-grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Eddie R. Webb. He is survived by his sister, Dr. Sally Webb, PhD of Eau Claire, WI as well as numerous nieces, nephew, and brother and sisters-in-law.
A special thanks to Don's son-in-law, Stuart Marsh, whose loving care allowed Don to stay home with Barbara, the love of his life.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO.
A private interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
Pallbearers will be Bill Durako, Stuart Marsh, Donald Webb III, Lee Marsh, Thomas Ellison and Cindy Marsh.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Ponder, Jerry Aufdenberg, Dick Vaughn, Andy French, Harry Sharp and Kenny Wasson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to: The Christian Academy, 103 E. Kathleen St., Sikeston, MO 63801 and the Sikeston Depot, 116 W. Malone Ave., Sikeston, MO 63801.
