away December 8, 2016, in Talladega, Alabama, at the age of 61.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Franklin Daniel and
Cecil Jean (Brown) White; her brother John Daniel Jr.; and her
grandparents, J. Frank and Hazel M. Brown, and Thomas E. and
Mathilda Daniel.
Following her birth in Murray, Kentucky, Cynthia spent much of her
childhood in California and Texas and most of her adult life in
Missouri. She was creative, funny, intelligent, and witty and had a
great sense of style in addition to an incredible memory. Cynthia
enjoyed musical theatre and art, and particularly liked working with
pastels. She was a loving sister and aunt, a loyal friend, and an
extremely generous individual. Cynthia will be sorely missed by her
family and friends.
Survivors include Cynthia’s sisters, Susan Gooch (Don “Goosey”) of
Forney, Texas, and Brenda Blackstock (Silas) of Tuscaloosa,
Alabama; her brothers, John E. Daniel of Lebanon, Tennessee, and
James W. Daniel of Nashville, Tennessee; her nephews and nieces,
Thomas, Amber, Sarah, and Bethany Gooch and Christopher and
Daniel Blackstock; their partners; and 10 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at
Nunnelee Funeral Home in Sikeston, Missouri. Visitation is from
12pm to 1pm, followed by a 1pm service in the chapel, and a brief
graveside service at Catholic Calvary Cemetery in Charleston,
