He was born December 3, 1948 in Bement, MO. to the late Jim and Carrie Carlyle Western. He had served in the United States Army.
Survivors include: one son, James Western of Wamego, KS.; one daughter and son-in-law, Robin and David Hart of Matthews, MO.; two sisters, Mable Holmes of Sikeston, MO. and Burma Baker of Jackson, MO.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO., Jason Schrieber, officiating.
Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood, MO.
