Joseph "Joe" Francis McCollum

McCOLLUM, Joseph Francis “Joe” – 72, Stewiacke, passed away May 27, 2012 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Joe was born in Old Fredericton Road, NB, he was a son of the late John James and Mary “Molly” (Ritchie) McCollum. Joe worked for C.N.R., he spent over 35 years in car sales. He was owner of a copy and printing business. Joe was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #70, Stewiacke. Joe is survived by his wife Norma Jane (Ruggles) McCollum, sons Kevin (Jen), Halifax; Mark, Calgary; Derek (Heidi) Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren Darcy and Joey; sisters Cecilia (Mike) Muscat, Sussex, NB; sister-in-law Joyce McCollum, Amherst; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers John (Lois), David and sisters Rosemary (Bill), Anna (Gordon). Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside committal service 2pm, Sunday, June 3, in Riverside Cemetery, Elmsvale, Musquodoboit Valley. A celebration of life to follow 4 pm - 6 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Stewiacke. Br. # 70.
