Born at home in Rural Pike County, Arkansas on March 26, 1929. Died in Shreveport, Louisiana on March 13, 2017 after a brief illness, with his children by his side. Awarded the Silver Star by the US Army for gallantry inaction during the Korean War.
A Godly man who was the best husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather anyone ever has had. Survived by his brother Frank, wife of 34 years, Marva Nelle, two children, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
A visitation will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, March 18, 2017 in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Following the service William will be laid to rest in the Centuries Memorial Park.
