William Lester Meyers Sr. began life February 5, 1945. He was born to Louis and Vaunda Marter Meyers. He attended and graduated from Fair Park High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was a mechanic by trade specializing in cotton picker repair. He was a faithful member of Jewalla Assembly in Shreveport, Louisiana and later Bonn Ibee Church in Bastrop, Louisiana.
William enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. He also loved tinkering with all types of engines, especially recreation vehicles for he and his family to enjoy. You could often find him and his brother, Danny, working together at the family hunting camp.
William is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Vaunda Meyers; three wives Gracie Huckaby Meyers, the mother to his sons, Gaylynn Meyers, and Lois Meyers, both of whom he walked alongside through terminal illness.
He is remembered by his brother, Danny Mayers; two sons Billy Meyers, and his wife, Shannon, and Eddy Meyers, and his wife, Bonney; five grandchildren, Jeff, Kaitlyn, Hollen, Megan, and Nate Meyers; along with many other friends and family.
