Mr. Myers served in the US Army in Vietnam, he obtained a Bronze Star, a Machine Gun Expert, Sharpshooter, a Gallantry Cross and several other medals during his service. After returning home he owned Roy’s Kokomo and was a union organizer for the International Carpenters Union.
Mr. Myers is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Georgina; sons Roy Wayne Myers and wife Becky and Ronnie Myers and wife Lesley; stepson, Gary Keffer; grandchildren, Chase Myers, Taylor Myers, Riley Myers, Zachary Myers, Seth Myers, Daniel Miller, Brittany Myers, Antony Newcomb, and Alyssa Ortega; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Troy Myers and wife Evelyn; other relatives and many friends.
A service celebrating the life of Roy Myers will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2019, 10:00 AM at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA.
