Rose Ann Briceno, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on December 5, 2024, at the age of 61. Born on March 22, 1963 in Shreveport, Louisiana, Rose Ann brought light and love into the lives of everyone she touched.
A proud graduate of Southwood High School’s Class of 1981, Rose Ann was known for her unwavering faith, compassionate heart, and vibrant spirit. She never wavered in her belief in the Lord, even in life’s toughest moments. A devoted member of her church, Gospel Lighthouse. She cherished fellowship and prayer, living as a true testament to her faith.
Rose Ann worked at Piccadilly, Luby’s, and Shreveport Gymnastics, where she developed deep connections and treasured her work family. Her love for people and her joyful spirit made her an indispensable part of every workplace she touched.
Rose Ann was a shopaholic and a foodie who delighted in life’s little joys. Her photogenic smile, feisty attitude, and love for adventure made her the life of every gathering. As a proud “Daddy’s girl,” loving Nana, and extraordinary mom, she cherished her family above all else. To her, family was everything, and she was always there to lend a helping hand, a kind word, or a hearty laugh.
Known for her honesty and directness, Rose Ann never hesitated to speak the truth, often with a touch of humor. She was a prayer warrior, a loving and spiritual soul who adored her grandparents and inspired others with her compassion and courage. Her faith, blended with her love for life and people, left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Rose Ann is survived by her devoted husband of 14 years, Maximino Briceno "Mi Amor"; her loving mother, Rosie Moreno; her cherished children: James Barber, Victoria McLain (husband Colby McLain), Cristy Johnston (husband Timothy Johnston Jr.), Ashley Barber, and Daniel Martinez (wife Casey Martinez); her dear siblings: Robert Moreno Jr. (wife Carolyn Moreno), Stephen Moreno (wife Rhonda Moreno), and Pam Brown (husband Carey Brown); and her 11 beloved grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Moreno Sr., and her grandparents: Pauline and Lawrence Garza, Steven and Matilda Moreno, and Stella Mancho Madrigal.
Her kind heart, beautiful soul, and unwavering love for the Lord and her family will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
A visitation for Rose will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108. A celebration of life will occur Friday, December 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Elijah Hopwood, Collin Keith, Kaleb Keith, Ian Barber, Michael Dean and Levi Brian with honorary pallbearers Lucas Martinez and Kaine Johnston.
