Norma Rebecca Caldwell Staley, a native of Austin, TX, a lifelong resident of Shreveport, LA, and a recent resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Monday January 2, 2012 at the age of 94.
Norma was a retired nurse, an avid bird watcher and an active member of both St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Shreveport and St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by many.
She is survived by her daughter, Lucy Staley Bradley and husband Roy Charles Bradley Jr.; three grandchildren, Roy Charles Bradley III and Elma, Rebecca Ann Sonnenfeld and husband David, and Andrea Lee Bradley; four great grandchildren, Elisha Bradley, Corey Jeremiah Sonnenfeld, Casey Joseph Sonnenfeld, and Macsen Rhys Bradley; special friend, Dr. Emily Jones, whom she worked with for many years; and numerous nieces and nephews. Norma is preceded in death by her parents, O.Y. and Lucy Caldwell; her husband, J.A. Staley; two sisters, Edna Ruth Davis and Jacquelyn Montgomery; and two brothers, Joe and Bobby Caldwell.
Visitation will be held in Baton Rouge, LA at St. Luke's Episcopal Church on Friday from 10am-12pm. Services will resume in Shreveport, LA on Monday with visitation from 10am until service time at 12pm at St. Matthias Episcopal Church.
