Mrs. Jearl B. Walker

Jearl (Jerry) Boyett Walker, 95, was born August 20, 1923 in Jena, LA to John W. and Eugenie Vallery Boyett and passed away August 28, 2018. She married Howard V. Walker on October 30, 1948. He preceded her in death. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Jerry spent most of her adult life in the workforce. Prior to retirement, she had a long career as a decorating consultant for Cook Paint and Caddo Paint in Shreveport.

Jerry is survived by her daughters Jerry (Roby) Bryant and Colene Haston and husband Joel, both of Shreveport; her sons Edwin Vance Walker and wife Marianna of Elysian Fields, Texas and John Howard Walker and wife Melinda, of Normal, Illinois; her sister Mary Ann Crum and husband Buddy of Des Moines, Iowa; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers Garvis, Herman, James W., and George W.; her sisters Irene Cranford, Johnnie Champion, Virginia Collins, Bobbie Harman, and Gloria Sibley; and her son-in-law Huey Bryant.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 31, 2018, at 11:00 am in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
