Celebration of Life services for Mr. Michael James Morvan, 54, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Centuries Memorial with Rev. Denny Duron officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, Louisiana. The family will be receiving guest for visitation Wednesday, April 20, 2011, from the hours of 5-8 p.m. at Centuries.

Michael Morvan was born April 19, 1956, in Wuerzburg, Germany, to James and Ida Morvan and was called to rest April, 17, 2011, at his residence in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Morvan served this grateful nation by enlisting with the U.S. ARMY from 1974-1978 and was a graduate of Fair Park High School. Mr. Morvan always enjoyed his LSU Tigers and will be remembered as a thoughtful son, loving husband, devoted father, doting grandfather, caring sibling, and trusting friend to those who knew him.

Mr. Morvan was preceded in death by his mother; Ida Maria Hartman Morvan, one brother; Alan Morvan, and his grandmother; Frieda Hartman. Left to cherish Mr. Morvan’s memory and tell his stories will be his beloved wife of 27 yrs.; Tobie Tolson Morvan, three sons; Michael Chad Morvan and wife Lindsey, Matthew Steven Morvan and wife Molly, and Tyler Philip Morvan, his father; James “Billy” Morvan and wife Lonnie, two brothers; Albert Morvan and Johnny Morvan and wife Nicole, one grandson; Michael Captain Morvan along with numerous extended family members and many great friends.
