Linda attended Booker T. Washington High School and was proud alumna of the graduating class of 1966. She was a loyal employee of Western Electric (Avaya) until her retirement after 33 years. Linda Faye (as she was lovingly called) believed in living life to the fullest. You could always count on her to make you laugh, sharing funny stories or jokes. She enjoyed cooking, dancing and watching cowboy and scary movies. Linda also liked talking with her neighbors and keeping up with changes in the community especially on her block, where she proclaimed to be “The Mayor” of the 1800 block of Abbie Street. She will be sorely missed by her family, friends and neighbors.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Early Jackson; brother, Edd Jones, Jr. and Robert Conway; sisters-in-law, Betty Conway and Sandra Jones; and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Monica White (Jacques); granddaughters, Ashlyn and Bria King; great-grandson, Jacob Pierce; siblings, Betty Jones, Melvin Jones, Deborah Tilmon (Wallace), Cynthia Henderson (Clarence), Larry Jackson; special cousin, Foster Conway, Jr. and a host of relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Regional Hospice and Heritage Manor West for the care and concern of Linda.
