Kelly was a talented automotive collision and repair specialist. He worked at McClure’s Paint and Body Shop alongside his brother, Kevin for over 30 years. When he wasn’t working, Kelly enjoyed spending time out on the lake boating, participating in watersports. He also enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. Kelly had a passion for old cars and motorcycles. He was known for meticulous vehicle maintenance.
Kelly is survived by his wife, Margaret Brice McClure; daughter Julie Whitaker (Jeremy); mother Katy McClure; brother Kevin McClure (Marianna) and sister Kristina Dickerson (Mark); granddaughter Addyson Whitaker and grandson Walker Whitaker; aunt Linda Glenn; nieces Lily, Ashley, Meagan, Summer, and Makenzie; nephews Christopher, Adam, Matt, and Zach.
Kelly was preceded in death by his father Wayne Lee McClure; grandparents AB and Pauline McClure, Martin and Patricia Criss; uncles Bill Glenn and Eston Swarb; aunts Shirley Swarb and Helen Aldrich (Ki).
A funeral service for Kelly will occur Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 10:00am, in the chapel at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, with Pastor Doug Lovett officiating. A visitation will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the chapel at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Centuries Memorial Park.
Honoring Kelly as pallbearers are Matthew Brice, Zachery Brice, Daniel Doan, Taylor Brice, Cory Harwell, and Jeff Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Bruce Robert, Pete King, Ricky Robinson, Troy Huff, Gary Shovan, Barry Curtis, Jeff Gandy and Russell Bryan.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Bob Massingill, the staff at Christus Cancer Treatment Center, Christus Hospice and Palliative Care, caretakers: Theresa, Diantha, Cheryl, Gus, Denise and Michelle; and special friend Lisa Massingill for their compassionate care and support they provided Kelly and the family over the last several months.
